ABOUT ME

I am a freelance writer and columnist based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
For almost a decade I worked at The Press newspaper.
Quite frankly, I wasn’t much good at hard core news but soon realised that quirky things and stories about people were right up my alley. I enjoy having a good old yarn with human beings and telling those stories.
I was interviewed about my thoughts on longform for The Pantograph Punch here.
I continue to write a weekly column for The Press which is generally a light-hearted wander through my addled mind and life. Depending on the reader, my column is a “must-read”, "the first thing I read on a Saturday" or “absolute shit”, "why has she not been fired?".
If you would like to make me a pen for hire, or you have any suggestions for a story, please contact me. .
